1. identify the correct type of tyre based on the floor.
Summarizing: rubber or TR Roll polyurethane if you have an uneven, rough, gritty, fragile floor; standard TR polyurethane, Vulkollan or plastic materials if you have a smooth or resistant floor.
2. determine if the wheel materials are compatible with the chemical-environmental conditions.
If humidity and aggressive chemicals in particular are present, it is better to go for solid polyamide 6 or injection polyurethane wheels fitted stainless steel forks.
3. determine the load capacity for each wheel by summing the weight to transport and the tare, then dividing it
by 3 if it’s a solid load or by 2 if it’s a liquid load).
Compare the result with the dynamic load capacity declared on TR general catalogue for each wheel.
4. determine the speed and the means of traction.
The wheel rated dynamic load capacity normally refers to a speed of no more than 4 km/h (1.1 m/s). If the speed is higher than 4 km/h and the moving is mechanical, it is better to look at Vulkollan, standard polyurethane or TR-Roll polyurethane wheels with electro welded castors.
5. Identify the trolley manoeuvrability.
Fixed castors are better for straight routs; swivel castors are better for frequent direction changes.
